The new year came gushing in with dreams and aspirations.
But here you are wishing you had a magic wand to stop time long enough for you to gather your bearings.
How is it mid-year already?
Your feed is bombarded with everyone’s progress reports and their determination to meet their goals.
On the other hand, you feel left behind and wonder why you haven’t been able start some of the things you promised yourself.
The New Year signifies ‘new beginnings,’ but issues from the previous year doesn’t magically vanish on January 1s
They follow you into the new year, where you still have to deal with them and all the unexpected things life throws at you.
Starting fresh requires patients, and if you’re not careful comparing your progress to others will cause discouragement to settle in your heart.
When time is moving too fast, remember to move at your pace, because it’s not a race.
- Do you think you could have done more?
- Are you feeling envious or anxious?
If you answered, “Yes” to one of the these questions, it’s time to readjust your focus on Jesus.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3)
